Is your CHILD’S POCKET MONEY SAFE?

Get for them a Co-op Prepaid Card which they can use to shop at the school canteen. There’s no extra charge, it’s as good as paying cash.

The only amount which is deducted from the card is the cost of the item that the student is purchasing.
You can load the card from anywhere, anytime through Mpesa, at Co-op Kwa Jirani Agent, or at the branch.
How to load a Coop Pay Card via Mpesa:
– Use PayBill 400200.
– Account P****** (where ****** is the card account and P must be in CAPs).
In case the student needs cash e.g. for bus fare on school closing day, they can withdraw at the school canteen Co-op Kwa Jirani Agent, or any Co-op ATM outside the school.
You will receive an SMS every time the card is used, and you can print mini statements from the nearest Co-op ATM or Co-op Kwa Jirani Agent.
You don’t need to have a Co-op Account to apply for the card.
Visit your nearest Co-op Branch with a copy of your ID and KRA PIN, a copy of your child’s birth certificate and passport-size photo.

Do BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING with your Co-op ATM card

There’s no extra charge, it’s as good as paying cash. You don’t need to withdraw cash at the ATM before you go shopping.

It’s a VISA Debit Card. You can use it to pay for shopping, fuel, meals, hotel accommodation, other goods and services wherever you see the VISA sign in Kenya and abroad.
To authorize payment you will enter the same ATM PIN you use to withdraw cash at the ATM. Nobody can use your card unless they have the PIN.
The only amount which is deducted from your account is the cost of the item which you are purchasing.

Go to Lipa na Mpesa, Paybill option
Enter Business Number 400222
Account Number: Enter the school code followed by # followed by the student number/admission number.
For example 1059#123456789 (with no spaces).
Click here to get your school code.
Enter the amount you want to pay.
Enter your M-Pesa PIN and confirm the transaction.
You will receive a confirmation SMS with the payment details.
